October is finally here and I’m left wondering where September went! I’m so excited for the new season. Cooler weather started to makes its debut here in Dallas this past week and you know what that means! Lower temperatures, crunchy leaves, sweaters, pumpkins, suede and faux leather jackets, scarves, boots, and pumpkin-spice everything is here to stay for this fall-lovin’ girl!
Not only does the new season have me excited because of the change in weather, but a new phase in life. I took a break from blogging last week to focus on the good and did some things way outside of my comfort zone. More on that later next week!
I’m recharged and ready for the fall season so let’s get to my monthly favorites for September!
I will be finishing up Royalty Income: The Business of Getting Paid More than Once by Dr. Steve Hryszczuk this week and starting on You’re Made for a God-sized Dream by Holley Gerth. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the Bible so I know this book would be perfect to layer on as I continue my studies.
I’ve also been applying some principles I learned from Think and Grow Rich and my life has truly started to improve each day. If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it!
I haven’t used my YouVersion Bible app lately. Instead, I have been reading out of a hard copy of the Bible (I think it’s the NLT version) Gateway gave me a few weeks ago. I’m happy to say my relationship with God is growing stronger each day! It feels so good to get back what I’ve missed!
Health & Wellness:
I’ve been upping my fitness game for the last couple of weeks. Here’s what my current workout schedule looks like:
Monday: Foam rolling and stretching
Tuesday: Fitness Blender‘s Kelli’s Superset Total Body Strength Workout: Calorie Torching, Muscle Building, Fat Burning Workout
Wednesday: BBG arms and abs workout
Thursday: Fitness Blender‘s Kelli’s Superset Total Body Strength Workout: Calorie Torching, Muscle Building, Fat Burning Workout
Friday: BBG total body
Saturday: Bootcamp with Steadfast Fitness and Performance
On top of my workout schedules, I’ve been taking my HealthPak vitamins and eating super clean with one or two cheat meals max a week. Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions about my health routine!
I still haven’t ordered my Daily Greatness Journal! I think I’ve given up on that for the moment, haha!
I never got around to picking up my couch as I’ve been busy, but I’m sure I’ll get to it this month. Where else can I cozy up and read a good book? I’ve been eyeing this Sonos Speaker (for almost a year) to stream my music for workouts and won’t stop eyeing it until I get it in my hands! Music lovers will definitely love Sonos!
Style & Beauty:
I started my closet purge again and pulled my fall pieces to the front this last week. I learned that I need more textures like cozy knits, suede jackets and boots. I regret missing out on these fringe booties (they were on super sale) when I was out shopping with my mom a few weeks ago. I actually tried them on in person and they felt so comfortable. I definitely regret not walking out with them.
I’m currently on the hunt to build my fall wardrobe so I’m craving this beautiful camel-colored suede jacket, this lace-up sweater, this chambray dress and these black suede booties. I’m also looking to add a couple of knit sweaters, some leggings and a camel coat. (If you have any recommendations, please link them below in the comments!) Did I mention that I love fall?!
For beauty, I picked up this jet black liquid eyeliner from Sephora based on a sales associate’s rec and let me tell you, it’s GOOD. It stays put on my oily eyelids and you can’t beat the price so I highly recommend! I also purchased a travel-sized dry shampoo by Amika (thanks Emily for the rec!) and let me tell you, it’s amazing!!! I didn’t rely on dry shampoo as much until these past six months so this product has been a lifesaver! It smells so good too!
That’s all for my monthly favorites! I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve been up to in more detail next week. Lots of changes are happening, from this site (in case you haven’t noticed yet) to my personal life along with tons of new things that are in the works. I can already tell these next few months are going to be so much fun!
With that said, I’m going to pick up some candles and white pumpkins (I have a thing with white pumpkins) to add some fall flair to the apartment this weekend!
With faith and happiness,
Note; If you’re new to my website, welcome! Monthly favorites is a post I do at the beginning of each month on my findings on entrepreneurship, faith, health/wellness, lifestyle, fashion and beauty. I also give you updates within these posts as well. Consider it a monthly edit!
